This Form of Hypnosis:
A New Paradigm for the Hypnotic Experience
If you are interested in hypnosis either
as a self help tool or from a theoretical perspective, this may be a
refreshing web site for you. This web site offers a free self help course
that uses a cognitive-behavioral approach and a waking state hypnotic
technique to prepare your personality and teach you how to heal your
issues with an learned internal healing process. Here is how I discovered
this clinically based treatment approach and a descriptive metaphor
to explain hypnosis.
In 1993, I had learned to do a healing
process that involves tapping on acupressure points. While using my
new treatment with one of my patients, her subconscious started tickling
her on one of her acupressure points. This led me to find out that the
subconscious could heal from the inside.
I worked
with many patients with difficult symptoms. From the above insight,
I developed a model of the personality and brain functions and learned
to use it to establish rapport with all personalities in a patient.
I also learned how to teach the internal healing process to the subconscious.
This approach was very safe and respectful. The figure shows
a metaphor of the personality that has been validated by all of my patients.
The Active Experience is a neural structure that operates on all internal
and external sensory input, the current behavior, learned processes
like, composing and editing of language, and all memories that are elicited
into the active expedience by the content and emotions already active
in the active experience. This generates all overt and covert behavior.
A dissociation process causes the conscious and unconscious minds, both
have active memory and are in the main personality. The subconscious
can heal anything active in the active experience.
Hypnosis, in this theory, is simply putting any active personality to
sleep or dormant in memory. With regular hypnosis, either the interventions
are obtained by using metaphors to trigger strengths and problematic
issues together into the active experience or by the use direct suggestions.
The first means is loose and don't always work and the second one can
meet with internal conflicts and be ineffective. The
subconscious never goes to sleep so it is possible to communicate with
the subconscious to heal emotional issues or aspects of your personality
in the waking state. With this hypnotic like technique,
the issues can be fully explored and healing can take place in a respectful,
safe and systematic way. This is a very safe and respectful healing
process.
In contrast to normal hypnosis, by having rapport with all your personality
and by healing learned pain with a safe treatment plan, it is possible
to heal even the most devastating trauma without flooding emotions into
the conscious or unconscious mind. The subconscious can also learn to
heal all negative memories, beliefs and experiences just in the course
of life.
